Good morning, I wanted to give you an update about Oak Grove. As of late Friday, we closed Jack Weaver School on our main campus as well as Oak Grove at the Ranch in Perris (along with all public and private including NPS schools in California). The health and safety of our students is our top priority. Here are some of the additional measures we’re taking (in addition to deep cleaning and following measures related to hygiene, hand washing, and staying healthy during this time:
Our STRTP with our Residents who live on campus is a 24-7 program. We are blessed with no outbreaks including even the common cold but want to remain healthy.
We are limiting visitors to Family only and asking any Family members who are either ill or have recently been in a high risk areas refrain from visiting or taking your child on pass.We will hold our March MISTT celebration as a Staff-Youth only small gathering and ask our community supporters to check for a video update later rather than attending.
Also our annual gala Evening Under the Oaks will not be held as scheduled although we will post and send an update about our Non-Event-Online auction or campaign so that our supporters may stay at home but may choose to still support our mission and our youth whose needs go on. We know that at this time events are currently not wise.
For those of you that want to support, gift cards are always welcome and we are also wanting remote control cars as our new track on grounds will open soon. Its nearly done and our kids are excited to race them.
A wish list will also be posted. We feel blessed to have an amazing team of staff that working to reassure and help deliver great activities with creativity, love and enthusiasm. Than you for your prayers, we will keep you in ours!
I am also thankful to be in Murrieta. The support we get from our Mayor Gene Wunderlich, City Council, law enforcement and fire as well as our incredible supporters from Murrieta and Temecula. We salute you and are grateful for you! Stay Healthy!
